BENEFITS

Chicken hearts are rich sources of several essential nutrients, including iron, copper, selenium, and B vitamins. Since hearts are muscle, they are packed with protein. They also supply taurine, along with significant amounts of the sulfur-based amino acids methionine (which your dog uses to produce taurine) and cysteine (the precursor for glutathione, the “master antioxidant”). When freeze-dried or dehydrated, they make a treat bag-ready training reward that most dogs really enjoy.

FREQUENCY

Safe to feed daily. We recommend rotating toppers for variety to support healthy microbiome development.


HOW TO SERVE

  1. Chicken hearts may be purchased raw, from butchers or even some grocery stores, or dehydrated or freeze dried as single ingredient treats.
  2. Raw hearts may be cooked (pan simmered, slow cooked, or baked) if desired.
