About
Dr. Laurie Coger is an integrative and functional medicine veterinarian, dog owner, trainer, and breeder. Her mission is to guide owners down the natural dog care path, helping them to become educated and empowered advocates for their best friend’s health.
She is an honors graduate of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, majoring in Animal Science, with a special interest and advanced training in nutrition. She received her DVM degree from Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her “real world” experiences in veterinary hospitals both large and small, housecall practice, and shelter medicine have broadened her skills and knowledge. She is the founder of the Healthy Dog Expo, the nation’s foremost dog natural dog health educational event, which has inspired a new generation of similar educational events across the country.

Whether you are looking for ways to optimize your dog’s health with a natural diet or other alternative methods, are frustrated by recurring health challenges, or are facing a serious medical condition, a consultation will give you a better understanding of your dog’s needs and condition, a clear series of steps to take, and the peace of mind of knowing you are gaining the knowledge to do your best for your best friend.

Titer Testing (U.S. Only)
Are you worried about over-vaccinating your dog? Wondering if he really is immune to parvovirus? Or worried about giving a vaccine because of cancer or other health issues? Are you unable to find a veterinary hospital that offers titer testing? Dr. Coger can help!
Dr. Coger offers laboratory titer testing, utilizing the Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The core vaccine testing panel includes canine distemper virus, adenovirus, and parvovirus. A rabies titer is also available, but please be aware that at this time it is not accepted as an alternative to vaccination in most jurisdictions.
Please note that titers through her program are not intended for international travel.
